Owner cuddling cat with worms

Can I still cuddle my cat if he has worms?

Yes. Hooray! You can still cuddle your cat when they have worms. Just make sure to wash your hands afterwards as worms can be passed onto humans from pets.

Worms can be spread via you digesting worm eggs and larvae - These will be present in your cat's poop, litter tray or could be lose around their bottom if they have a tapeworm infection.

To stop worms from spreading and to keep you safe, use vet approved cat worming treatment, like Itch Wormer Tablets if you suspect your cat has worms. Symptoms don't always show so you can use dewormer just in case - It's safe to moderately use worm treatment even if your pet doesn't have worms.

If your cat struggles to take tablets or refuses to swallow anything that isn't their favourite snack, try a safe and effective spot-on worming treatment, like Itch Wormer Spot-On Plus which is suitable for cats and kittens.
