How often should I treat my pet?
You should follow guidelines you have received with the product. For Itch Flea treatment for Dogs and Itch Flea treatment for Cats we recommend you use this every month and for Itch Worming treatments these can be monthly or quarterly depending on your pets individual lifestyle.
What is the best flea treatment to use?
The best flea treatment is one that’s suitable for your pet and used correctly and consistently. Their age, weight and health all matter.
At Itch, we make keeping on top of fleas simple. Itch Flea Treatment kills adult fleas within 24 hours and prevents flea eggs and larvae from developing. Plus, Itch Flea monthly subscription delivers treatment straight to your door. Less faff. Fewer forgotten treatments.
My cat is an indoor cat so I don’t have to treat them, do I?
It’s a fair question, but staying indoors doesn’t make your cat flea-proof. Fleas can hitch a ride into your home on clothing, bags or other pets. Your cat doesn’t have to venture outside for them to move in.
Indoor cats may have a lower risk, but they can still need protection. Qualified vets can advise on the right treatment and how often to use it, based on your cat’s lifestyle and health.
Can I give my pet flea and worm treatments at the same time?
Some flea and worm treatments can be given on the same day, but it depends on the products you’re using, active ingredients and your pet’s individual needs.
If you’re unsure, ask your vet or a qualified veterinary medicines adviser before giving both. It is always best to be cautious.
Every pet parent should know what is toxic in your home and garden for pets. Your pet’s should not be given certain foods like onion, garlic or raisins. Stick to their own foods. Outside, there are lots of different plants that aren’t pet-friendly and extremely dangerous to cats and dogs. Find out which plants are toxic to pets here.
Training your pet helps you better understand their behaviour and needs. Physical and mental training keeps your pet healthy, calm and well-behaved. Functional treats, such as Itch Calm Treats for Dogs and stimulating play like puzzle feeders, can help with behavioural training.
Know what is normal for your pet. Their appetite, energy, toilet habits and behaviour all help tell you how they’re feeling. Spotting a change means you can seek advice sooner.
